Of course, everyone knows the major theme parks in Orlando, including Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World, but there are many more attractions in the Miami area.
Rapids Water Park in West Palm Beach, is a great place to go and cool off for the day. And, if your family loves animals, Zoo Miami, off the expressway at SW 152nd Street is well worth a visit. In addition, one of Florida’s oldest marine attractions is The Miami Seaquarium on Biscayne Causeway towards Key Biscayne. See world-class sea life exhibits with manatees, sea turtles, penguins, rays and more. Learn about wildlife rescue and marine animal care at the Conservation Outpost. Plus, there is no greater thrill than getting in the water with the friendly, intelligent and graceful dolphins at Dolphin Harbor.
If you are in the humor to take a bit of a bigger drive north, you can stay on I-95 and drive to Cocoa Beach to see the Kennedy Space Center & Astronaut Hall of Fame, another not-to-be-missed Florida attraction about astronauts and space exploration. It is about a 3-hour drive from Miami or you can stop and take your time to visit Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Jensen Beach, Merritt Island and Hutchinson Island along the way.
You’ll likely find that the best way to see all the sights in south Florida and to experience your real Florida adventures is by traveling and staying in your El Monte RV motorhome.
