RV Rentals Tennessee - For Your TN RV Vacation

When you start with a motorhome rental, you’re on the road to great vacation times! A journey through ancient forests, historic battlefields and the heart of country music is just the beginning. Use our helpful tips below to plan the perfect Tennessee RV vacation.

Tennessee RV Camping Destinations

Tennessee State Flag What Elvis fan can resist the pull to visit Graceland? With an RV park adjacent to Elvis Presley’s famous home, why not make it one of your first stops? While camped in Memphis, don’t forget to also visit the Beale Street District, home of the blues.

If you find the pre-Civil War South fascinating, be sure to take in the vast
Ames Plantation in western Tennessee. It’s home to antebellum mansions and dozens of other historic sites.

You could spend a month in Tennessee and not see all it has to offer. Whether you’re drawn by history, water sports, music or great scenery, Tennessee is the place to spend your next RV vacation.

National Parks

We recommend all first time RV campers visit the historic Natchez Trace Parkway when they come to Tennessee. Winding from the Mississippi River through Alabama into central Tennessee, the Trace offers a wide variety of outdoor activities and places of historic interest. Campgrounds in towns nearby the Natchez Trace offer all the convenience you’ll need to make this a fascinating part of your motorhome journey.

For even more outdoor recreation, try fishing and boating along the Obed Wild and Scenic River in central Tennessee. And, of course, the eight hundred miles of hiking trails in Great Smoky Mountain National Park are perfect for active families! If you’ve never visited the “Smokies”, you’re in for a sightseer’s paradise!

In the Southern Appalachians, plan at least one night in Cherokee National Forest. Home to thousands of species of plants and animals, it’s a photographer’s dream come true.

Famous Civil War battlefields dot the landscape throughout Tennessee, and the National Park Service does a terrific job of restoring and presenting them. Take a day to tour a few and gain a whole new perspective on The War Between the States.

No matter which National Park you choose to visit in Tennessee, it’s going to offer more than you can enjoy in one trip. Go to the
National Parks Service site to pick your favorites, and then let us help you dream up the perfect RV vacation.

Tennessee State Parks

Just east of Nashville, the Cedars of Lebanon State Park hosts nine hundred acres of history and nature. Although those famous “cedars” were actually junipers, this forest land is as fascinating as it was for the early settlers. Hikers, in particular, will enjoy their stay among the trees in this State Park.

Cumberland Mountain State Park offers spectacular scenery as well as great fishing, so plan to stop for a night as you roll across Tennessee. You could also let your kids learn Native American history while they camp, bike, fish and swim at Harrison Bay State Park on Chickamaugua Lake.

With names like Paris Landing, Standing Stone and Warriors Path, how could the State Parks of Tennessee be anything but fascinating? Visit the
State Parks website to learn more, and let us know if we can help you plan.

Major Attractions and Events

When you come to Tennessee, get ready for major NASCAR action! Three great tracks mean endless tailgating and race day excitement for RV campers! Be right in the middle of it all by bringing your “home away from home” to the race track. Check the schedules for
Bristol Motor Speedway then call us quick for the perfect RV rental for race season. We’ll even give you tips for fantastic tailgate cooking!

And that’s not all, sports fans! Catch both
Tennessee Titans NFL football and the Tennessee State Tigers at LP field in Nashville. Talk about becoming a tailgate cuisine gourmet! Stay warmed up, because Tennessee actually boasts five other universities with great football teams. Vanderbilt in Nashville, the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles are sure bets for gridiron excitement. Round out the possibilities with the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders in Murfreesboro and the University of Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks and you’ve got one great college football state!

We haven’t even mentioned the joys of country music! RV campers who cherish names like Dolly Parton and the Grand Ole Opry will be in absolute heaven here in Tennessee. Start with a visit to the Opry in Nashville, then get on down the road to Pigeon Forge to visit Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s theme park in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. Spend an extra day at the adjacent Splash Country Park for family waterpark fun. With many nearby RV campsites available, why miss this chance to combine great music with themepark excitement?

Animal lovers will find plenty to see in our state, as well, whether in the wild or at one of our terrific zoos.
Knoxville ZooMemphis Zoo and Nashville Zoo each have their own special charm, so head for one (or all three) on your RV jaunt through Tennessee.

Football, NASCAR, great zoos and country music—we’re barely getting started! Check the links below for even more Tennessee fun, and then call us to get that motorhome rental booked. Tennessee is a road trip to remember, we promise!
