Cedar Point Park: In Sandusky, Ohio, on the shores of Lake Erie, you’ll find historic Cedar Point Park. Since 1870, this park has offered fun for the entire family. Don’t miss their wide range of roller coasters! Their own Camper Village is within walking distance of all of this park’s attractions.

 

Busch Gardens-Tampa, FL: This world famous theme park combines exotic animals with heart-stopping rides for an adventure that will thrill the whole family. Plan to take your time experiencing this Tampa Bay classic, then head for Quail Run RV Park in Wesley Chapel to experience the best in Florida RV camping.

 

Six Flags Theme Parks: With nineteen different experiences offered under the Six Flags label, there’s no end to the fun these parks can bring RV campers! Three parks in California, three in Atlanta, and sixteen more spread from Louisville, Kentucky to Washington, DC mean consistently good times wherever you travel. Pick your favorites and then Google “Six Flags RV Camping” for tons of links to campgrounds nearby.

 

California’s Great America Park: Located in Santa Clara, California near the scenic San Francisco Bay Area, California’s Great America has earned its reputation as Northern California’s favorite theme park. Take the young ones to Kidzville while braver campers ride breathtaking amusements with names like the Survivor, the Scream Zone and Delirium!

 

Walt Disney World – Orlando, FL: You didn’t think we’d forget the mind-dazzling experience that is Walt Disney World, did you? The magic that is Disney in Orlando is actually six unforgettable experiences in one. Epcot Center, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, Hollywood Studios, and Blizzard Beach offer enough fun to keep your family busy for weeks! Disney’s very own Fort Wilderness Resort features premium campsites for RV campers, but get your reservations in early.

 

Disneyland – Anaheim, California: Is there anywhere that says “American Theme Park” better than Disneyland? This classic park offers anyone wise enough to believe in magic a glimpse into the lives of Disney’s favorite characters. From Mickey Mouse to the Mad Hatter, you’ll fall in love with the sights, sounds and thrills of Disneyland. 

 

Hershey Park: Families with young ones should definitely head for the chocolate capitol of theme parks, Hershey Park in Hershey, PA. An onsite waterpark, great roller coasters and more chocolate treats than you can shake a wooden spoon at keep families returning to Hershey Park year after year. This park also offers an adjacent RV campground, making it a winner with avid campers.

 

Kings Dominion: Does your brood love wide open spaces once they reach the theme park? Kings Dominion near Fredericksburg, Virginia is located on four hundred beautifully wooded acres and features fifteen bare knuckle thrill rides that aren’t for the faint of heart! Their very own Kings Dominion Campground lets you park your RV minutes from the heart of the action.

 

Carowinds: This compact park is packed full of thrill rides, shows and a wild and crazy waterpark. Right on the border between North and South Carolina, it’s your chance to experience Southern hospitality at its wildest! One more reason it’s a “must go?” Their Camp Wilderness Resort gives free shuttle rides and a discount on park tickets to campers.

 

Riverfront Park – Spokane, WA: This park may not have the sheer size of a Disney or Six Flags theme park, but it’s memorable, just the same. Located near Spokane Falls, this urban theme park offers a glimpse into history, as well as a darn good time. Ride the vintage 1909 carousel, take a thrilling Sky Ride over Spokane and let the little ones ride the rides inside the awesome Pavilion, left over from the 1974 World’s Fair.

Dollywood - Pigeon Forge, TN:  You'll want to spend longer than 9 to 5 here!  Not only are there loads of things to do and see at Dollywood, but you'll want to also get wet and wild at Dollywood's Splash Country!  Located in Pigeon Forge, TN, you're also going to want to check out the awesome beauty of Smoky Mountains National Park.
