AKC Dog Shows in California:
All in the same week in November, there are three AKC-sanctioned shows in California. Here’s the scoop:
San Luis Obispo Regional Dog Show: Head for the California Mid State Fairgrounds for three days of exciting dog show competition.
San Joaquin Kennel Club Show: Just three hours north in Stockton, CA, the San Joaquin AKC-sanctioned show is also a three-day event featuring all AKC-recognized breeds.
Golden Valley Kennel Club: On the way to Stockton, stop in Turlock for the annual Golden Valley Kennel Club, one great day of high-stakes dog show action.
AKC/Eukanuba National Invitational: The biggest AKC show of all is held each December in Long Beach, California. Each December, Miami, Florida is the site of two regional dog clubs’ shows at the Miami Fair Expo Center. The South Dade Kennel Club hosts a Friday show and the Greater Miami Dog Club runs their show the following day.
